Yoshiraku Corporation ("the Company") informs you about the protection of personal information as follows ("this Policy").

1. Definitions

The definitions of terms in this Policy are in accordance with the definitions stipulated in the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" and related regulations (collectively referred to as "Laws").

2. Acquisition of Personal Information

a) The Company acquires personal information in a proper and legal manner within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use announced or notified (including announcements on the Company's website).
b) When acquiring sensitive personal information, the Company will generally obtain consent from the individual in advance.


3. Use of Personal Information

The Company acquires and uses personal information within the scope of the following purposes:

a) For registration and authentication in services and management of customers.
b) For delivery of goods, provision, and after-sales service.
c) For billing for goods and services.
d) For prevention and response to fraudulent activities.
e) For maintenance and management of services.

4. Management of Subcontractors

When subcontracting parts of operations related to personal information, the Company selects businesses recognized as having adequate personal information protection. The Company clarifies necessary obligations through contracts and continuously supervises and audits the subcontractors for safe management of personal information.

 

5. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal data held to third parties, except in the following cases:

a) With prior consent from the individual.
b) When outsourcing within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
c) When providing to parties listed as joint users.
d) When required by law.
e) When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property and difficult to obtain consent.
f) When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and difficult to obtain consent.
g) When necessary to cooperate with national institutions or local public bodies or their entrusted parties in executing affairs prescribed by laws and obtaining consent could impede the execution of these affairs.


6. Safety Management Measures

The Company implements appropriate safety management measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, alteration, or loss of personal information. The main contents of these measures are as follows:

a) Organizational safety management measures.

1) We will appoint a person responsible for handling personal information and will check the status of handling of personal information by employees as appropriate.

2) The person responsible for handling personal information shall periodically check and review the status of the handling of personal information.

b) Human safety management measures.

1) Under the leadership of the person responsible for handling personal information, the Company will educate and enlighten all directors, employees, and related parties to handle personal information appropriately.

c) Physical safety management measures.

1) Measures shall be taken to ensure that personal information cannot be easily accessed, etc., by anyone other than the person in charge of handling personal information and the person himself/herself. (b) Necessary measures shall be taken to prevent the theft or loss of equipment, electronic media, and documents, etc. that handle personal information in the management and handling areas. (c) When employees carry electronic media containing personal information or documents containing personal information, passwords shall be set and measures taken to prevent the risk of information leakage. (d) When personal information is deleted, or when equipment or electronic media containing personal information is disposed of, the person in charge of handling personal information shall confirm this.

d) Technical safety management measures.

1) In order to prevent unauthorized access to personal information, the equipment that can handle personal information and the employees who handle such equipment shall be clearly identified. (b) Identify and authenticate employees who use information systems that handle personal information by means of user control functions (user account control) installed in equipment that can handle personal information. (c) Necessary measures are taken to protect the information system from unauthorized external access or unauthorized software.

e) Understanding the external environment.

1) We will implement safety management measures based on our understanding of the systems for the protection of personal information in foreign countries where personal information is stored.


7. Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, Suspension of Use, and Suspension of Provision to Third Parties of Personal Data

For requests regarding disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, suspension of provision to third parties, and disclosure of records of third-party provision of personal data held by the Company, please contact the inquiry desk below. The Company will
respond in accordance with the law after confirming the identity of the individual.


8. Use of Cookies

a) The Company's website uses cookies (information stored on the user's computer sent from the server to identify the user) to make the user experience more convenient
b) Users can configure their browser settings to allow, deny, or notify when receiving cookies. Please note that some services provided by the Company may not be available if you choose to deny cookies.
